Rates & Insurance
Rates
My fee is $160 per 55 minute session.
Payment is due at the beginning of each therapy session.
Phone calls over 15 minutes are prorated and billed at the same rate.
I accept payment by cash or etransfer.
A sliding scale may be offered in exceptional circumstances. Please speak to me about this.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please do so as soon as possible.
You will be charged for missed appointments that are not cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time.
Exceptions are made for illness, emergencies and weather conditions.
Insurance
Coverage
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefits plan. Please check your coverage carefully.
Counselling services provided by Registered Social Workers (RSWs) can be claimed as a medical expense tax deduction when you file your income tax return. Hence, Registered Social Workers are now authorized "medical practitioners" for the purpose of claiming medical expenses. You can find more information at the following link:

Please note that counselling services provided by Registered Social Workers are not covered by OHIP.
I can provide invoices and receipts for submission to your insurance provider and for income tax purposes.
Insurance Coverage Questions
You can check your Insurance Coverage by asking the following questions:
(1) Do I have insurance benefits that include a Registered Social Worker (RSW)?
(2) What is my deductible and has it been met?
(3) How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
(4) What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
(5) Is approval required from my primary care physician?
